It is reported that Alibaba AI smart glasses use a dual-chip dual-system architecture of Qualcomm AR1 chip and Hengxuan BES2800 to optimize power consumption and battery life. The camera uses Ray-Ban meta’s Sony IMX681CMOS (12 million pixels), with modules provided by Lijing, and the entire machine OEM is handled by Luxshare Precision.

Alibaba plans to launch two versions: AI smart glasses without display and AI+AR smart glasses with display, of which the AI+AR version has higher priority. The AR version will use surface relief grating diffractive optical waveguide technology and be equipped with a single green Micro LED light engine module to enhance the display effect. In terms of AI functions, the glasses will be deeply integrated with Alibaba's flagship AI application "Quark", based on Tongyi large model technology, and upgrade traditional search to an "AI super box" experience that integrates AI dialogue, in-depth research and task execution.
This move marks Alibaba’s further layout in the AI and AR fields, and may challenge meta’s position in the smart glasses market.
