BOE Huacan: Mass production and delivery of 0202 and 0303 MPD products

At the ISE 2026 exhibition, multiple technical routes such as COB, COG, and MiP are in full bloom, fully covering diverse application scenarios such as professional displays, commercial displays, home terminals, and creative displays. Among them, BOE Huacan stated that innovative products based on BOE Huacan's self-developed MPD technology have been widely used in Micro display solutions. More than half of the Micro display products at the exhibition were equipped with BOE Huacan Micro core pixel devices.

■ What is BOE Huacan MPD?

It is understood that MPD is the core technology of Micro LED packaging and application independently developed by BOE Huacan. It can achieve all-round upgrades in display performance and customer ease of use, and is the best implementation solution in the current field of micro-pitch real pixels.

BOE Huacan said that it uses a micro-light-emitting unit with an RGB three-in-one integrated design, and the light-emitting unit is thinner than a hair, which can say goodbye to the graininess of traditional displays, making the picture sharper and more detailed. MPD adopts the wafer-level packaging Fan out process, and uses RDL technology to allow Micro-level chips to expand the welding space, which not only gives full play to the performance advantages of Micro devices, but also solves the ease-of-use problems of downstream applications.

■ Micro spacing + full scene adaptation, creating a high-end differentiated benchmark solution for small micro spacing

Micro spacing has the best pixel isolation effect: Thanks to the advantages of MPD three-color integration and Micro chip, when the pitch reaches the critical size of P0.6, the Mini chip can no longer achieve good pixel isolation in the XY direction at the same time. ■ Ultra-high contrast + white level consistency: Helping the ultimate picture quality display

Official micro-display, with the dual blessing of ultra-high black area ratio and ultra-high contrast, MPD products can make the dark details of the picture purer and the bright parts more transparent, even in complex light environments, it can also present the ultimate picture quality that is delicate and realistic; at the same time, in response to the industry pain point of "viewing angle shift or color cast" of mini display, this product also has better white level. Viewing angle design, within the 170° ultra-wide viewing angle range, you can get a consistent high-definition visual experience across the entire screen from every angle.

Ultra-high contrast: In the bare crystal state, MPD is significantly darker than Mini RGB; after packaging, Mini RGB can still see the obvious three-color outline of RGB, and MPD is integrated with the package body, and there is no sense of visual fragmentation;

White level consistency: Micro chip removes the native substrate, and the three-color optical structure is more consistent, which can achieve better white level consistency at large viewing angles and a wider viewing angle; this solves the problem of Mini When COB is used to make large screens, the color cast due to large viewing angles cannot make high-quality large screens a pain point.

■ Industry-leading overall die-bonding performance, breakthroughs in cost reduction and efficiency improvement

At the same time, when the pixel size is reduced to within a hundred microns and the packaging process is highly integrated, BOE Huacan MPD also accurately breaks through the industry's efficiency and yield pain points in terms of overall die-solid performance. The company stated that with its innovative structural design, MPD has the triple advantages of "high efficiency, high yield, and high adhesion" in the die-bonding process, helping high-end Micro display products truly enter a new stage of "mass production and application". The specific performance is as follows:

Efficiency doubled: Three-in-one integrated structure, the die-bonding efficiency is more than 2 times that of Mini LED, reducing production costs;

Worry-free yield: Four-pad large-area wide Gap design, die-bonding pass rate reaches 80%-90%, super three-color die-bonding mode level;

Strong stability: 6 times the pad area of traditional devices, with 7 times the thrust intensity, higher welding strength; package flatness and light pattern stability, better visual experience.

In terms of product progress, it is reported that BOE Huacan MPD series products have been mass-produced and delivered as 0303&0202 products, which are mainly used in semi-indoor/indoor display scenarios. Combined with HC-True Color technology, it can help customers create better display effects in the new display and high-end display fields, thereby forming core competitiveness.
