Fucai actively deploys AI optical communications and CPO light source fields

Fucai will hold a regular shareholder meeting on the 23rd. Chairman Peng Shuanglang pointed out in the operating report that Fucai will focus on the "3+1 long-term development strategy" in the future. In 2024, Fucai will also strengthen financial stability and corporate resilience through the three-track approach of efficiency, cost reduction, and downsizing. According to statistics, Fucai will punish 7 companies in total and liquidate 3 reinvested companies that are not in line with investment returns in 2024, and the operating burden will be reduced sharply.

In addition to the three major fields of automotive, advanced display, and intelligent sensing, Fucai's operating report emphasized that it will invest in new fields. With its high degree of control over III-V compound semiconductor optoelectronic materials, Fucai is actively attacking high-value-added fields, including AI optical communications and CPO light sources, high conversion efficiency III-V solar cells and professional lighting. In the future, the group will gather more growth momentum and strengthen its profitability and risk resistance capabilities.

Among them, in the field of AI optical communication, Peng Shuanglang said that with the improvement of computing power in the AI server era and the advent of the silicon photonics era, Fucai is actively moving towards the research and development of light source receiving, transmitting components and modules. Optical communication light source components have completed the development of high-speed VCSEL with a transmission rate of 25Gbps, and are expected to launch 50Gbps to 100Gbps PAM4 VCSEL products in 2025. We actively cooperate in the development of distributed feedback laser technologies and products required for optical communication and CPO, and jointly deploy with key partners to strengthen terminal application technology and market advantages.

In terms of high conversion efficiency Group III and V solar cells, the Group has developed high conversion efficiency Group III and V solar cells. Compared with silicon-based solar cells, the power generation efficiency has increased by 50%. They have passed rigorous environmental tests and are suitable for high-end applications.

In terms of professional lighting and human factors lighting, Fucai focuses on using lighting technology to improve human health, comfort and productivity. In the future, it will jointly deploy with major brand customers in Taiwan and the United States to strengthen the technical threshold and expand market share.
