Industry's first photoluminescent quantum dot Mini/MicroLED group standard officially released

On March 2, 2026, the world's first group standard "General Technical Specifications for Photoluminescent Quantum Dot Mini/MicroLED Display Terminals" was officially released and will be implemented on March 12, 2026.

The standard was proposed and coordinated by the Shenzhen 8K Ultra-HD Video Industry Collaboration Alliance. The drafting units include: Leyard Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., Xi'an Safulus Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd., Saixi Electronic Information Products Standardization Engineering Center Co., Ltd., Xi'an Nova Nebula Technology Co., Ltd., BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd., and Colorite Cloud Technology Co., Ltd.

According to reports, this standard fills the standard gap in the field of global photoluminescent quantum dots and Mini/MicroLED in-situ integrated displays. It is compiled in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2020 and clarifies the term definitions, technical requirements, test and inspection methods and applicable boundaries of this type of products, solving the pain points of inconsistent industry standards and uneven product quality.

During the preparation process, Severus relied on the world's first nanopore quantum dot technology to incorporate its original in-situ integration technology route and core data in terms of image quality, color, and reliability into the core clauses of the standard; all drafting units worked together to tackle key issues and jointly defined the core technical indicators of color gamut coverage ≥ 85%, color accuracy ΔE ≤ 1.5, and photoattenuation rate ≤ 5%, and jointly standardized environmental adaptability requirements such as high and low temperatures.

Previously, the integrated display field lacked unified standards for a long time, which restricted the development of the industry. The release of this standard unifies global technical specifications and standardizes the order of market competition. It will accelerate the large-scale application of this technology in high-end scenes such as commercial display, XR, and virtual shooting, and promote the upgrading of the global display industry.

In the future, Savlus will continue to work with industry partners to deepen the research and development of core technologies, continue to participate in the formulation of domestic and foreign industry standards, build a new industry ecosystem with standards and technology, and lead the development of global display technology.
