With a total investment of 500 million, Yuanheng Optoelectronics’ global manufacturing base has started construction

According to the Shenzhen Special Zone News, on January 5, Shenzhen held an on-site promotion meeting for project construction in 2026, focusing on the start of 222 new projects with a total investment of approximately 157.34 billion yuan.

Among them, 76 industrial projects focus on high-end and intelligence, with a total investment of 38.45 billion yuan, covering multiple cutting-edge fields such as intelligent manufacturing, smart logistics, and new displays. Such as Yuanheng Optoelectronics Qianhai new high-definition display global intelligent manufacturing base and other projects.

■ Project situation

According to an earlier official announcement, the Yuanheng Optoelectronics Base project is located in Bao'an District, covering an area of approximately 12,200 square meters, with a planned total investment of 500 million yuan, and plans to build pollution-free production plants, R&D office centers and industrial supporting facilities.

In terms of industry type, the "New High-definition Display R&D Headquarters Base Project Selection Plan" shows that the project must comply with the "Information Industry" item 8 of Article 28 of the Encouragement Catalog of the "Industrial Structural Adjustment Guidance Catalog", involving special equipment for the manufacturing and production of display components, including TFT-LCD, OLED, Mini-LED/Micro-LED display, electronic paper display, laser display, 3D display and other new flat-panel display devices, as well as key components and materials such as glass substrates for the LCD panel industry and cover glass for the electronic and information industry.

It is understood that Yuanheng Optoelectronics currently rents an office factory with a building area of about 305 square meters in Guangming District, which is mainly used for overseas sales of LED displays. It rents a factory of 40,000 square meters in Bao'an District for production and manufacturing, and is building a production base in Zhongshan City. The commencement of construction of this manufacturing base is expected to promote the development of enterprises and Shenzhen's LED high-definition display industry.

■ Yuanheng Optoelectronics overall planning

Yuanheng Optoelectronics was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Shenzhen. Currently, it has three manufacturing bases including the Greater Bay Area Headquarters Base, South China Manufacturing Base, and North China Manufacturing Base, with a total factory area of over 200,000 square meters.

Among them, the Greater Bay Area headquarters focuses on projects with a high proportion of R&D and deep customization; the South China manufacturing base is a project base for manufacturing technologically innovative products and focuses on innovative application scenarios; the North China manufacturing base is a project base that provides customers with standard product manufacturing and focuses on standardization and rapid batch delivery.

In October 2024, Yuanheng Optoelectronics' Greater Bay Area Intelligent Manufacturing Headquarters Base located in Zhongshan Torch Industrial Group Park will officially be capped. The total investment in the project is 400 million. In the future, a production base of 120,000 square meters of LED display screens and 300,000 LED lighting fixtures will be built.
