0.13 inches, Nanjing Xinshiyuan launches the world’s smallest LCoS chip

On June 4, according to the official account of Xinshiyuan, at the 16th China IC Innovation Summit Forum, the company's general manager He Jun delivered a special speech on silicon-based micro-display technology and demonstrated the company's independently developed 0.13-inch LCoS silicon-based micro display chip - Tianmu 80.

Tianmu 80 realizes the domestic replacement of the 1550nm band phase modulation function. He Jun said in the forum that optical communications is currently the application market with the largest shipment volume of LCoS chips.

It is worth noting that in May this year, Xinshiyuan’s parent company Xinshi Semiconductor completed a 150 million yuan B+ round of financing. The company plans to use the financing funds to increase investment in research and development, expand the technical team, and improve customized development and product delivery capabilities; on the other hand, it will promote the construction and expansion of production lines to improve large-scale production capabilities and supply stability. At the same time, we will continue to lay out cutting-edge technologies related to silicon-based microdisplays to enhance long-term technical reserves.
