From March 25th to 27th, the 21st Automotive Lighting Industry Development Technology Forum and Shanghai International Automotive Lighting Exhibition were held in Kunshan, Jiangsu.

This exhibition has the following features:

Interactive car lights have become mainstream. Interactive attributes have become one of the important iteration directions of car lights. The dot matrix interactive screen can realize functions such as dynamic light language and pattern customization, taking into account assisted driving and entertainment functions, and also shows the development trend of "car lights as screens".

Micro LED headlight pixels continue to be upgraded. Last year, Micro LED headlights concentrated on 25,600 pixels. This year, many companies such as Sanan Optoelectronics, BOE Huacan, Nationstar Optoelectronics, and Jinghe Optoelectronics also launched 40,000-pixel Micro LED headlights to promote the upgrade of human-vehicle interaction.

The interior ambient lighting in the car has been upgraded. As the cockpit becomes smarter, more personalized experiences will follow. Integrated light-drive products have become one of the main product forms of interior ambient lighting, which can achieve independent driving and light color calibration.

The company’s specific products are as follows:

■ ams-OSRAM: Displayed ADS autonomous driving sign lights, Micro LED headlights, AR HUD, etc.

ams-OSRAM demonstrated its products in the fields of automotive signals, interior and exterior lighting and smart headlights, including ADS autonomous driving sign lights, OSIRE E3731i smart RGB, EVIYOS™ HD 25, ALIYOS™ LED-on-foil technology, OSLON® Compact PL series, AR HUD solutions, etc.

Among them, EVIYOS™ HD 25 uses an integrated pixelated µ-LED chip matrix, including 25,600 independently controllable light-emitting chips. It has been used in high-end models such as NIO ET9 and ES8 to support its intelligent high-definition projection headlights to achieve ultra-long lighting coverage of 500 meters in front and precise light control in 25cm zones 100 meters away. At the same time, the OSIRE E3731i smart RGB product integrates the drivers and optical measurement data of three R/G/B LEDs; LIYOS™ LED-on-foil technology uses a transparent and flexible LED film structure with a thickness of less than 1 mm and can achieve 2.5D bending.

ams-OSRAM also displayed its ADS autonomous driving marker lights. In the era of autonomous driving, "communication" between vehicles and external road users is becoming a new safety issue. This product is based on the SYNIOS™ P 2222 compact package, which not only significantly saves space, but also improves the stability of light output. It is used to identify the vehicle's autonomous driving status and achieve clear signal transmission from the vehicle to the person. Its reliability design plays a key role in driving safety.

■ Xingyu Co., Ltd.: 25600 pixel Micro projection headlights, direct display interactive lights, etc.

At the ALE exhibition, Xingyu Co., Ltd. displayed its ES8 smart high-definition projector headlights, Chery D01 direct display ISD interactive lights, Wenjie M8, Zunjie S800 headlights, Wenjie M8, Chery 7Plus, Lynk & Co 900, Dongfeng Nissan N7, Mercedes-Benz CLA rear combination lights and other products.

It is reported that Xingyu Co., Ltd.’s smart high-definition projection headlights integrate 25,600 Micro LED pixels and can project graphics and text on the ground to guide or warn oncoming cars or pedestrians. According to reports, the projection headlight can be transferred to the headlight, and the projected image can be corrected in real time according to the assembly position and the projected area to ensure the effect of the ground projection pattern.

■ BOE Huacan Optoelectronics: Demonstrated Micro LED headlights, interactive innovative solutions and AR glasses

BOE Huacan made its debut with smart car lights and in-vehicle interactive innovative solutions, and also brought new AR glasses products.

In the automotive field, the Micro ADB pixel car lights on display combine Si-based CMOS drivers and integrated light source prototype components of Micro-LED chips. Krypton achieves the integration of more than 41,000 chips in a single light-emitting unit and precise dynamic control of 10,000-level pixels. The core can realize functions such as intelligent anti-glare high beam, road projection interaction, and adaptive lighting. The vehicle-mounted interactive screen is equipped with ultra-density LED array chips and uses automotive-grade LED high-transparency optics and adaptive light-sensing systems, which can adapt to various complex vehicle environments.

In addition, the new AR glasses are equipped with BOE Huacan Optoelectronics' new generation Micro LED micro-display technology, with a brightness of over 2 million nits. At the same time, the glasses incorporate AI intelligence capabilities, and intelligent navigation can project routes in real time.

■ Anrui Optoelectronics: Full-scenario solution for smart car lights

Anrui Optoelectronics launched a full-scenario solution for smart car lights at this exhibition. This solution deeply integrates the core technologies of intelligence, greenness and safety, can cover multiple application scenarios such as passenger cars and commercial vehicles, and is highly in line with the current development trend of the automotive industry.

At the same time, a number of new car lighting products were unveiled, including efficient and energy-saving LED light source systems, as well as a new generation of smart car lights equipped with intelligent interaction and active safety functions.

■ Nationstar Optoelectronics: Intelligent interactive outdoor lights and smart cockpit display products

Nationstar Optoelectronics unveiled a complete set of solutions and core products for intelligent interactive vehicle lighting applications.

The off-car interactive system exhibition area brings a series of interactive screen products covering P1.25 to P4.0 spacing. The Exterior Vehicle Lighting Exhibition Area focuses on the full range of ADB solutions with Micro LED headlights as the core technology. The solution covers hundreds to one million levels of pixels and can be flexibly adapted to scenarios such as matrix headlights, intelligent interaction and projection. Among them, the 10,000-level digital car light solution also uses Nationstar Optoelectronics’ self-developed mass transfer technology.

In addition, in the smart cockpit exhibition area, the Mini COB backlight module on display uses large light angle chips and LED technology; the vehicle head-up display uses high-power ceramic LEDs with a thermoelectric separation structure, which has the characteristics of thermal stability, high brightness, and long life; the new generation ambient light source integrates temperature compensation and built-in diagnostic functions, supporting 16-bit color position accuracy and thousand-level cascade expansion.

■ Jinko Electronics: Intelligent interactive lights and intelligent cockpit instrument panel, central control screen, passenger entertainment screen, etc.

Jinko Electronics showcased a series of products including intelligent interactive lights, vehicle backlights, ambient interiors, ADB intelligent projection headlight systems based on Micro/Mini LED pixelated light sources, and car-grade LED devices and modules.

Jinko Electronics focuses on launching the 2020 RGB P3.4 interactive module that combines cost and performance. The product is more than 1 meter long and is equipped with Jinko Electronics' self-developed automotive-grade low-power 2020 RGB LED device at its core. A single lamp bead can achieve uniform light emission and support 16 million color full-color display.

For application scenarios such as instrument panels, central control screens, passenger entertainment screens and multi-screen linkage in smart cockpits, the 15.6-inch RGB Mini LED automotive backlight module is independently controlled by R/G/B three-color light-emitting chips, combined with light and color simultaneous control algorithms, to achieve accurate color restoration and uniform brightness output. It has 2688 independently controlled partitions, a million-level contrast ratio, and a peak brightness of over 2000 nits. For automotive smart cockpit atmosphere environment applications, Jinko Electronics has launched a full range of RGB LED light source products covering door, central control, headspace and other regional scene applications, including 3433 RGB, 3030 RGB and other medium and small power devices to better meet the free and flexible design needs of smart cockpits.

■ Hongli Zhihui: Displayed car-standard LED and smart car lighting products

Hongli Zhihui Group’s subsidiaries Automotive Semiconductor, subsidiary Foda Signal, and subsidiary Yishan Automotive Lighting presented car-standard LED and smart car lighting products.

In the field of automotive lighting sources, Hongli Zhihui Automotive Branch brings a full range of 0.01W-36W automotive LED light sources; and launches the first 36-pixel ADB headlight source and supporting solutions, which can achieve a single luminous flux of 167lm at 550mA. In terms of intelligent interaction and atmosphere creation, Foda Signal exhibited the luminous logo on the car body paint, the vehicle atmosphere lighting system, innovative infrared heating atmosphere lights, etc., and released for the first time car-grade dynamic flame lights and water ripple ambient lights.

In the field of smart car lighting, Yishan Auto Lighting exhibited products such as front lighting fixtures, rear lighting fixtures, front grille lights, and welcome lights. It also brought two pre-research technologies, 25K HD high-definition pixel headlights, customized infrared cameras, privacy cameras, and integrated solutions for LIN communication reading lights.

■ Ruifeng Optoelectronics: Displaying intelligent car lights, exterior headlights, innovative Mini LED, automotive color-changing film, etc.

Ruifeng Optoelectronics focuses on the new ecology of intelligent, green and safe car lights, and debuts a full range of automotive lighting and display product solutions such as intelligent car lights series, exterior headlight series, innovative Mini LED application series, and automotive color-changing film application series.

In terms of in-vehicle display, Ruifeng Optoelectronics brings ultra-thin OD0 white light and blue light AM solutions; at the same time, based on the "small, light, thin, soft, pixelated" characteristics of Mini LED direct display technology, Ruifeng Optoelectronics also demonstrated innovative Mini LED automotive display product solutions covering scenes inside and outside the car. In terms of intelligent car lighting series, it brings new 100-level pixel ADB light source modules and DLP LED product solutions, interactive screen LEDs, ADS Cyan blue-green LEDs, etc. Exterior headlight series, aiming at high-power lighting needs, exhibits the latest iteration of the second-generation automotive-grade ceramic high-power headlight technology and diamond-based ultra-high power density packaging products, providing high-quality, high-light efficiency, and high-reliability LED light source product solutions for automotive headlights.

■ Tiandian Optoelectronics: Displayed intelligent interactive screens, vehicle-mounted display solutions, automotive-grade optocouplers, etc.

Tiandian Optoelectronics will debut at ALE 2026 with POB-Mini solutions, ADB headlights, ADS autonomous driving sign lights, headlight modules, interactive screens, projection lights, macular-eliminating white light LEDs, macular-eliminating white light LEDs, light sensing, and car-grade optocouplers.

Among them, the interactive screen covers all specifications from P4.0 to P2.0; the COA structure white LED solution can effectively eliminate the macular problem and improve the uniformity and consistency of light color; in addition to the side-emitting vehicle display solution, the POB-Mini solution is also brought to the site, and 2525 new products are simultaneously released to achieve upgrades in thinness, contrast, and reliability; the new car-grade optocoupler is officially on pre-sale, which can broaden the application boundaries of automotive charging piles, BMS, motor control and other fields.

■ ChiSoC North: Displayed a full range of automotive solutions, including display modules, automotive-grade LED interaction, etc.

Chiptronic North showed up with a full range of smart vehicle solutions, displaying a variety of vehicle display modules equipped with its core self-developed chips, including flagship Mini LED vehicle display modules, car-grade LED interactive display solutions, smart cockpit display full chipsets, industrial-grade and ultra-high-definition display modules, etc.

Among them, the Mini LED Smart Light Language Taillight Module is a representative exhibit, integrating the car-grade LED constant current driver chip ICND7001 independently developed by Chitron, the car-grade LED scanning screen row driver chip ICND7201, and the car-grade LED constant current driver chip ICND7301, which can achieve independent and precise control of more than 2,300 LED units at the rear of the vehicle. This series of chips supports flexible configuration of 1-64 scans. The product has successfully passed ISO26262 ASIL-B functional safety certification, becoming a benchmark solution in the field of smart light language.

Another 15.6-inch Mini LED Local Dimming LCD automotive curved display is equipped with Chitron's automotive-grade bridge chip ICNM7801Q, automotive-grade backlight Mini LED constant current driver chip ICND8808, and automotive-grade backlight control chip ICND8800. It is also paired with the company's self-developed TDDI and PMIC chips to form a full-stack solution.

■ Macroblock Technology: Showcasing smart interactive lights, hidden ambient lights, and FALD backlight solutions

Macroblock Technology showcased smart interactive lights, hidden ambient lights, and FALD backlight solutions.

Among them, the smart interactive lights have high reliability and real-time response, which facilitates interaction inside and outside the car and driving safety. Hidden ambient lighting is aimed at the hidden display aesthetics of modern car cabins. MBI6034Q uses 45mA high current to perfectly compensate for the optical loss caused by leather and fabric. Paired with 16-bit grayscale technology, it can still present full colors and smooth gradients even in dark interiors and extremely low brightness. The FALD backlight solution can achieve ultimate light and dark contrast and highly saturated colors, meeting the stringent pursuit of image quality in automotive displays.

■ Huayinxin: First Exhibition of Micro LED Welcome Light Module

At this ALE exhibition, Huayinxin presented its full range of self-developed car-standard light source products, first exhibited Micro LED welcome light module, and brought Micro LED high-pixel projection headlights, SCSP series car-standard light sources, Mini LED car display backlight series and other products.

Among them, the welcome lamp uses Micro LED light source, integrating megapixels in a 0.6-inch light source area, which can achieve 360° full-scale light language projection; the Micro LED light source for high-pixel projection headlights integrates 40,000 micron-level independent light control chips, with a pixel pitch of 40µm; the ADB adaptive high beam uses a matrix Mini LED light source, which uses a self-developed car-standard flip-chip chip with advanced optical anti-crosstalk technology, hundred-level pixel partitioning, and a pixel pitch of ~50µm.

At the same time, the SCSP series automotive-grade light sources cover the power range of 0.1~9W, the minimum package size is only 0.5*0.5mm², and the light emission angle can be flexibly adjusted between 120° and 175°.

■ Jinghe Optoelectronics: Demonstrates 40,000-level pixel car-grade Micro LED lighting

Jinghe Optoelectronics focused on demonstrating automotive-grade Micro-LED digital lighting. As the core highlight of this conference, Jinghe Optoelectronics' "HuaxinTM No. 1" chip is positioned as a high-performance digital lighting solution. The chip has up to 40,000 pixels and can achieve a system luminous flux of ≥2500lm at 50W power consumption. It takes into account the dual technical advantages of high resolution and ultra-high brightness. In particular, it achieves more than 50lm/W at a pitch of 40 microns, which represents the top level of current mass production technology.

Currently, "Huaxin TM No. 1" is undergoing AECQ-102 vehicle-level certification. It has completed the first two stages of sample delivery testing and will be certified in the second quarter of 2026 as planned, which means that the chip has entered the critical verification and finalization stage before mass production and has the foundation for large-scale vehicle launch.

Jinghe Optoelectronics simultaneously disclosed the plan for the follow-up products of the "Hua Core TM Series" and established a complete technological evolution path: "Hua Core TM No. 2" is positioned as a benchmark DLP solution, with more than 100,000 pixels, which can meet more complex ground projections and interactive fields. According to the scene demand, it is expected to be launched in the third quarter of 2026; "Huaxin TM No. 3" is specially designed for the main light source of far and near light. The luminous flux has achieved ≥3500lm@50W. The chip has now been lit and is planned to be launched in the second quarter of 2026.

■ Shengpu Optoelectronics: Focus on exhibiting ADB headlights, all-climate high and low beam headlights

Shengpu Optoelectronics will participate in the exhibition with a full range of automotive LED light sources and smart car lighting solutions, focusing on the ADB matrix headlight LED solution and all-climate high and low beam headlight solutions.

According to reports, the ADB matrix headlight LED light source on display adopts a high flip-chip structure, complies with the automotive grade AEC-Q102 standard, and has characteristics such as light pattern accuracy, color difference consistency, and high thermal stability. The all-climate high and low beam headlight solution integrates intelligent light pattern dynamic adjustment, strong penetration optical design, and efficient and stable heat dissipation technology, which can meet all-climate and all-scenario driving lighting needs in one stop.

■ NanoXinwei: Showcasing cockpit atmosphere lights, taillights, headlights and vehicle backlights, etc.

NanoXinwei showcases LED drive solutions that cover the entire automotive lighting scene, including cockpit atmosphere lights, taillights, headlights and vehicle backlights.

Among them, the multi-RGB ambient light driver chip NSUC1527 launched on site adopts the "MCU+" design concept to support the unified management of up to 27 RGB lamp beads through time-sharing control.
