From April to May this year, Zhaochi continued to promote a number of LED display industry chain and optical communication project investment and construction nodes in Nanchang High-tech Zone, showing its strategic rhythm of accelerating vertical integration and upgrading to Mini/Micro LED, high-end display and even optical communication and other fields.
According to the latest news from Nanchang High-tech Zone, the Zhaochi PCB (Printed Circuit Board) production base project invested and constructed by Jiangxi Zhaochi Intelligent Display Co., Ltd. has been completed, and the first batch of production equipment has entered the site. The remaining municipal and park supporting facilities are planned to be completed by the end of June this year.
The project rents a factory in Jinxian Industrial Park in the High-tech Zone as the implementation site. The total construction area of the factory and supporting facilities is about 153,000 square meters, and the total investment is about 5 billion yuan. The investment in the first phase is about 1.5 billion yuan, covering equipment investment of about 1.1 billion yuan, and mechanical, electrical and decoration projects of about 400 million yuan. The project focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of PCB printed circuit boards. The products are widely used in LED display terminals, consumer electronics, optical communications and other fields. After the first phase of the project is completed and reaches production, the annual total output value is expected to reach approximately 2 billion yuan.
In the upstream chip sector, according to information from the Jiangxi Province Investment Project Online Approval Supervision Platform and confirmation from industry channels, Zhaochi Semiconductor plans to implement Mini/Micro LED epitaxy and chip R&D and manufacturing expansion projects, and plans to increase monthly production capacity from the existing 1.1 million pieces (equivalent to 4 inches) to 1.6 million pieces, an increase of nearly 50%. The project is scheduled to start in May 2026 and be completed in May 2028.
The new production capacity will be mainly targeted at high value-added fields such as Mini/Micro LED backlight/direct display, automotive lighting, and plant lighting. It is worth noting that the MOCVD equipment introduced in the expansion plan is a common core equipment for LED and optical communication chips. This not only ensures the supply of high-end LED chips, but also locks in key manufacturing resources in advance for Zhaochi's subsequent large-scale layout in the field of optical communication chips.
At the same time, the second phase of the Zhaochi Mini COB display module production project located in Nanchang High-tech Zone has recently started construction. The project rents a factory building in District B of Future City and plans to expand in batches based on the existing 3,000 RGB small-pitch LED display module (COB) packaging production lines, eventually forming a scale of approximately 8,100 production lines. According to the current progress, it is expected to be fully completed and delivered in late July this year, by which time the monthly production capacity of Zhaochi Crystal COB modules will jump to tens of thousands of square meters.
Financial data shows that Zhaochi will achieve operating income of 17.807 billion yuan in 2025 and net profit attributable to the parent company of approximately 1.303 billion yuan; revenue in the first quarter of 2026 will be 4.180 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.28%.
Among them, the entire LED industry chain is the second growth curve of Zhaochi Co., Ltd., with operating income of 5.725 billion yuan in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 7.41%; net profit of 871 million yuan, accounting for more than 60% of the profit contribution, and has become a core profit segment. Zhaochi Semiconductor has revenue of approximately 2.817 billion yuan and net profit of 744 million yuan; Zhaochi Crystal Display has revenue of approximately 1.383 billion yuan and net profit of 226 million yuan.
Zhaochi Co., Ltd. is also accelerating investment in the optical communications industry chain. At present, its BOSA devices have received long-term orders from leading customers in the industry; 200G and below optical modules have been produced on a large scale, 400G/800G optical modules have entered small batch production, nearly 50,000 square meters of high-speed optical module clean and intelligent manufacturing base has been fully opened, and the optical communication business is gradually shaping its third growth curve.
